Methodology
Where our numbers come from.
Our baseline anchors come from Tier-A sources — AVMA Sourcebook, NAPHIA State of the Industry, Morris Animal Foundation lifetime studies, PDSA PAW Report. We do not publish single-point numbers; every cost is a range with provenance.
The parametric model multiplies those baselines by size, region, age, and condition factors— so a Bulldog in NYC and a Lab in rural Iowa get different, honest answers from the same engine.
Each estimate carries its source tier and last-verified date. We refresh Tier-A/B sources quarterly. See the full methodology page.
